This ancient monastery was first built in 528 AD by king Beopheung wang (법흥왕 514-540 AD) during Silla kingdom and was later renovated and expanded by several kings. With the recent renovations, this ancient site has become one of the most prominent tourist attractions in Gyeongju area, South Korea. In 1995, this site was recognized as a world heritage by UNESCO. ~බුල්ගුක්සා බෞද්ධ විහාරය (불국사)-දකුණු කොරියාව~
1995දී යුනෙස්කෝ සංවිධානය විසින් ලෝක උරුමයක් ලෙස ප්රකාශයට පත්කළ මෙම විහාරය, සිලා රාජධානි සමයේ රජ කළ බොපංවන් රජු (법흥왕 514-540 AD) විසින් ක්රි.ව.528 දී ගොඩ නගා ඇති අතර, පසුකාලීනව විවිධ රජවරුන් විසින් නවාංග එකතු කර ඇත. ඉපැරණි බුද්ධ ප්රතිමා, සිලා ස්තම්භ, ශෛලමය ස්ථූප, ප්රතිමාඝර,දැවමය ගෘහ ආදියෙන් සමන්විත මෙම විහාරය මෑතකාලීනව කරන ලද නවීකරණයන් සමගින් අද වන විට ක්යොන්ජු ප්රදේශයේ ප්රධානතම සංචාරක ආකර්ෂණයක් බවට පත්ව ඇත.
